Maybe I will get that new camera someday...

Clearly, I still dont' have a camera.......

I so want one of these!!! Especially since it feels like an icebox in my "home office" (what use to be our extra bedroom)! For some reason this room stays so cold, and since I spend many, many hours in here, I freeze! I love infomercials; I am such a sucker! And I think I could get so much use out of this bad boy! I could lounge around on the couch while I watch the Bachelor or I could wear it while I spend countless hours working, heck I might even get froggy and wear it to the grocery store. Totally kidding!! I relly do want one of these though!

For some reason, Dawson has been talking about monsters alot lately. He said that his little buddy at school told him about them, but who knows how reliable that really is. I mean he is only 2! Anyways, everytime we turn the lights out before bedtime, he gets all anxious about the monsters, and for the past 3 or 4 weeks, his sleeping has been AWFUL! It is almost like he is an infant again. We try to tell him that there are no monsters under his bed (or in his case, crib. Yes, I know, he is getting too big for a crib, I am hanging on to this last bit of "babyiness" for as long as I can!), but the little fellow just doesn't believe me. As a matter of fact, he woke up about 30 minutes ago crying about the monsters! If something doesn't give, I may start crying about the monsters too! Mama needs her sleep!

I am sure that you all heard about this plane wreck that happened today. The pilot (safely) landed the plane into the Hudson River after both engines failed. Well I am TOTALLY freaked out! I have to fly US Airways into Charlotte for a work trip next week! It was a US Airways plane headed for Charlotte that crashed today! I have to travel about once every month for work, and I HATE FLYING! Planes totally gross me out for starters, it seems like I always get sick everytime I fly. And I don't even want to think about the plane crashing! UGH!

Well I think it is apparent that I still don't have that new camera yet, but I did dig up a few old pictures! In honor of Valentine's Day which is right around the corner, I found this pic of Dawson's 1st Valentine's Day (2007)! We gave him that little Sock Monkey, and he sleeps with it every night. Sometimes Sock Monkey watches cartoons with Dawson too, and he always goes with Dawson when he spends the night with his GiGi! I am fully anticipating sending Dawson off to college (Mississippi State of course!!) with Sock Monkey!

Dawson and Sock Monkey hanging out in the Bumbo seat. I think Dawson was about 4 months old in this pic. Where does the time go, what happened to my BABY!!!
Well friends, that is it for now! Have a fabulous weekend!

Totally Random Post!

My fabulous husband dropped our digital camera into a cup full of "an adult beverage" on New Years's Eve, therefore I am currently without a digital camera and haven't been able to take any new pictures for the last few weeks. I guess I shouldn't be too shocked, he dropped my other digital camera (I have had 3 within the last year!) down a flight or stairs at the Liberty Bowl game in 2007! Good thing is I am getting a camera that is water proof and shock proof as soon as we can find one we like! Since I have no pictures and nothing too exciting is going on at the Rousse house right now, I just decided to post something random! Oh... we did get a Wii last week and I did slam my hand into the wall while attempting to play Wii tennis, I found out today that one of my BFF's is preggers which excites me so much (this is seriously about the 8th person I know that is pregnant or just had a baby which is fab because I LOVE BABIES!), and I started a Bible Study with a really great group of girls... so maybe there has been a little bit going on around here after all!

And now my random thoughts........

For those of you who know me, know I L-O-V-E me some celebrity gossip!! I love people.com, and I check it about 73 times a day! I will admit that I am a fan of Jennifer Garner, however I am NOT a fan of her newest little girls name....Seraphina Rose Elizabeth! What is up with all of these celebrities picking out random, crazy names?!?! I just don't get it.

On another note....
It is also no secret that I L-O-V-E the Bachelor, especially this season's Bachelor! I watched the Bachelorette with DeAnna faithfully, and I just knew she was going to pick Jason and they would ride off into the sunset...clearly, she made a mistake! Her stupidity is my gain though since I get to watch this lovely looking gentleman once a week for the next 8 weeks or so! I was so mad that she didn't pick Jason last time that I called ABC and left them a little message demanding that they make Jason the next Bachelor! (remember that Catherine Clare??!?! and you thought they didn't listen to me!!) He is by far my favorite Bachelor!

I am also a tad bit obsessed with Jon and Kate Plus 8! I tvo all of the shows (because who wants to watch something when it is actually on when you can fast forward through the commercials, right?!?) and I even bought their book!

I can honestly say that this was a really good book! David thought I was dumb for buying it, but his opinion clearly didn't stop me from buying it! I love little Aaden, he reminds me alot of Dawson with his little glasses! If your a fan of the show, I would most def read the book!
Well I guess that is enough rambling for now! Hopefully I will get a new camera soon, if not, I am sure I can come up with some more random junk to post!!

Family Pics

We had family pictures taken about a month ago here in Hernando. Stacy Carter took them, and I think she did a really good job; especially considering the fact that Dawson can't sit still for longer than 2.4 seconds, he was hungry, and it was COLD outside!! We are going to have Dawson's pictures made again in the spring, so hopefully it will be a little warmer and he will be a little more cooperative!

If you tell Dawson to be "sweet" this is the face he makes!!

He was over it by this point! I just thought this was a really funny picture though!

I love this picture!

My precious little family! I love my boys!!

January 2008- Dawson never misses a meal!!

Wow, I must be really bored!

I must be super bored, another post! This is the second one for tonite! I will admit that I am a TERRIBLE blogger, however one of my resolutions is to update this blog more often! Here is just a quick rundown of what has been going on at the Rousse house lately.....
We have had several friends that have had babies within the last month, and Dawson(even though he has only been around them for a short period of time) can't stop talking about them!! He loves his new little buddies, Dylan Weatherly, Tanner Jones and Addison Cole so much! And he has 2 more buddies that will be born in 2009, Stacy Jones and Jake McGinnis! I am so excited to see all of these kiddos grow up together, it is going to be a blast!
We took Dawson to a Pediatric Optamologist a few weeks ago to get a second opinion about his eyes. Unfortunately, his vision hasnt gotten any better since he was seen by his regular eye dr. in August, so they had to strengthen his glasses. We go back in 2 months to see what the next steps will be, but it is looking like he may have to wear a patch to help strengthen his weak eye muscles or possibly even surgery. I pray that he does not have to have surgery, but we will do whatever it takes to get his vision to wear it needs to be. Please say a prayer that his vision gets better and his eye muscles strengthen with his new glasses. He is really, really good (most of the time) about wearing his glasses which amazes me! I am really proud of him!
We are kind of, sort of thinking about potty training. He is showing some interest in it, so it is a hit or miss thing right now. We are definately not pushing it since he is barely 2!
We really haven't been up to anything too exciting, just play, play, play as Dawson says! That boy never stops!!!

Christmas

Well another Christmas has come and gone, and I can't believe it is about to be 2009!! Where does the time go?!? I (or should I say David) hasn't uploaded our pictures from Christmas yet, so that will have to be for a different post. Dawson really got into Christmas this year so it was cool to get to see it through a 2 year old's eyes! He is still asking to listen to Tismas (Christmas) songs every day on the way to daycare though! I don't think he realizes that it is a once a year thing! All in good time, little buddy! I can only handle having my house decked out in Santa and Snowman garb for about a month each year! We tried to teach him that we celebrate Christmas in honor of Jesus's birthday. He thinks that everyday is someone's birthday though, he still tells me happy birthday and my birthday was almost a month ago! He loved Santa this year, and went right up to him to tell him that he wanted a shark (really random, right?!?) and a kickball from him. Luckilly, Santa was able to find him a tent that looks like a shark, which he LOVES, and a kickball, which has already been lost!
I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and a fabulous 2009!!

I Can't Believe my BABY is TWO!

Dawson's Birthday was October, 31. Yes, a Halloween baby! I can't believe he is 2, it seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital! He has literally turned into a little boy right before my eyes, and he amazes me everyday with the things he learns! His language has really "popped" within the last few weeks and he repeats everything he hears. He is also learning to use words in the right context which is so amazing to me!
We had his Sesame Street Birthday Party at the park here in Hernando, and he had a blast. He loves the park, so we thought it would be a perfect place to have his party. Alot of our friends and family came to celebrate, and we are so thankful they were able to share in Dawson's special day! He received lots of great gifts too, and he loves all of his new toys! Thanks to everyone for being so thoughtful!!
